Config UI – v2 Release Notes

Version: 25.10 Release Date: December 1, 2025

This release delivers major upgrades across both the Config UI and the Data Operations Console. The Config UI introduces a redesigned SourceFile creation experience, powerful new Source Export configuration tools, and expanded support for multi-environment deployments. At the same time, the Data Operations Console gains robust ingest rerun capabilities, new subject-area management, enhanced lineage and profiling views, and a dedicated publisher operations interface. Together, these updates significantly strengthen usability, operational visibility, and administrative control across the entire user interface suite.

Config UI

🚀 Features

  • Added a new SourceFile creation flow, including full UI integration and improved validation.
  • Delivered a major enhancement to Source Export configuration, including:
    • Initial configurations for DB, API, File, and Custom exports.
    • Support for file export options (filename, alias, format).
    • A new FieldSelection component for managing included/excluded fields.
    • A dynamic filter condition editor with deduplication logic and focus handling.
  • Refactored SQLQuerySettings and SourceExport views with improved layout, defaults, and validation logic.
  • Brought in support for configurable URL prefixes/basePath, enabling multi-environment deployments.
  • Added new properties and improved handling across multiple UI components to support backend schema changes.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed permission issues, missing tooltips, checkbox regressions, and data-handling bugs in FieldEditorView.
  • Corrected BASEPATH handling issues across multiple approaches (router basePath, DOM injection, rewrites).
  • Fixed synchronisation issues in editable filter rows and ensured required fields are validated correctly.
  • Resolved UI regressions related to aliasing, SQL override behaviour, connection type handling, and optional props.
  • Addressed multiple failing attempts around path handling, linting, and form field updates.

🔧 Maintenance

  • Significant refactoring of FieldEditorView, improving structure, hook ordering, and component reuse.
  • Removed unused tooltips, cleaned up comments, and updated files to include new backend-driven properties.
  • Standardised API call patterns using withBase or router basePath logic.
  • Minor cleanup across the project: improved entrypoint scripts, reverted experimental changes, and merged master updates.
  • Continuous small fixes (repush, resets, internal tweaks) during URL-prefix migration and environment testing.

Data Operations Console

🚀 Features

  • Added full support for ingest rerun and skip workflows (Version 3), including improved error handling and safer failure-state behaviour.
  • Introduced subject area management, with create/edit capabilities and improved role retrieval from request headers.
  • Implemented export row and file count visualisation within ingest tasks, enabling clearer monitoring of ingestion progress.
  • Added comprehensive DLS and DWA pages for data tracing, profiling, orchestration, lineage, and authentication.
  • Introduced enhanced admin features, improved caching, updated data model structures, and expanded lineage visualisations.
  • Added a dedicated publisher page, including restart logic, log enhancements, skip-file support, and improved UI layouts.
  • Enabled use of Caddy Server APIs, allowing the console to integrate with secure reverse-proxy environments.
  • Improved API interactions with better caching, error handling, schedule fetching, system listing, and more responsive UI components.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed alias and scheduledDttm assignment issues in the rerun workflow (restart_task).
  • Corrected rerun workflow failures, ensuring the console no longer crashes on invalid failure messages.
  • Resolved issues when no schedules exist, clarified UI texts, and corrected punctuation.
  • Replaced null values in lineage and documentation views to prevent blank or failing displays.
  • Fixed trigger creation logic that previously used incorrect API routes.
  • Corrected handling of ambiguous level types in XML profile views.
  • Patched authentication and untrusted certificate handling to improve stability when connecting to external APIs.

🔧 Maintenance

  • Updated CircleCI configuration and improved build stability.
  • Aligned codebase with master branch updates and integrated admin enhancements.
  • Commented out unstable Sankey diagram components and refined chart/table display behaviour.
  • Applied API version upgrades across sourcefile, trigger, and documentation endpoints to support new response structures.
  • Streamlined configuration for API connections, improved caching patterns, and refactored UI elements for better responsiveness.
